Finding Playgroups in Arlington, VA

Finding other moms to hang out with is essential. Not only is it a great socializing tool for your children, but it is so important for you. Playgroups are a fantastic way to build relationships with women who are going through similar situations are you. This bonding is a great way to find solutions to problems, discuss parenting tips, or simply vent! Below is a list of some of the moms groups in Arlington, VA and surrounding areas.

Mom's Club of South Arlington:
The Arlington-South chapter of the International MOMS club (Mothers Offering Mothers Support) meets during the day when at home mothers most need support. We believe being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so mothers can bring their children with them to all our activities. Any age children are welcome.

Mothers of North Arlington:
MONA is a local support group for mothers who primarily stay at home with their children, including those who have home-based businesses or work part-time but are home with their children during the day. Membership in MONA is limited to the following zip codes: 22201; 22203; 22205; 22207; 22209; 22213.

Joy Troupe:
Joy Troupe all about story hours, home play dates, music and dance activities, and baby appropriate outings. They believe in the power of the mommy network. The purpose of this group is to get together in person and to connect, network, and make new friends.

No Drama Mamas of VA:
No Drama Mamas is a social group geared toward stay-at-home moms and their children of all ages. However, working mothers and their kids are more than welcome. While we have some weekend events for moms and their kids, most of our calendar focuses on weekday events.

Natural Parents of Arlington:
Meet other stay-at-home parents who don't take the easy way out of parenting. We recognize that there are different parenting methods, but we choose the ones that feel the most natural... whether baby-wearing, breastfeeding, or cosleeping. We are looking for people to share information, experiences, and different viewpoints. A support system that open minded, non judgmental moms will enjoy and benefit from. With involved members and a very active calendar, we hope you will find the encouragement, advice and support you're looking for. Our activities are geared toward 2 to 5 year olds and will be held in Centreville, Fairfax, Clifton, Herndon/Reston and Vienna.

I'm relatively new to the Arlington area, and a semi-new mom to a 16-month-old girl. I'm constantly looking for ways to keep my daughter entertained and me sane. My blog follows me on the journey to go out and play in Arlington, VA! http://gettingoutinarlington.wordpress.com/
